The lamb and the boat are recurring symbols in Alberto Casiraghy’s imaginary world. This time, the landscape is positive: the world has calmed into shades of blue that bring great serenity.

Alberto Casiraghy (b. 1952) is an Italian contemporary artist, printer, and publisher best known for founding the cult Pulcinoelefante letterpress editions—over 11,000 handmade booklets pairing brief poems with original artworks. Trained across drawing, painting, woodworking and even luthiery (recreating Renaissance/Baroque instruments), Casiraghy later focused on works on paper: acrylics, airbrush, collage, engravings and typographic clichés from his press. His imagery blends craft and poetry, turning each sheet into a small miracle of visual verse—a touchstone for collectors of Italian works on paper, artist books and contemporary figurative imagination.
